TBI arrests Four People after investigation into Murder of Clarksville Woman

 

Fifth Individual Added to TBI’s Most Wanted List

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, with the assistance of the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office and the Clarksville Police Department, have arrested four Clarksville residents in connection with the murder of a woman whose body was found in a field in Robertson County last month.

At the request of 19th Judicial District Attorney General John Carney, TBI Special Agents, in a joint investigation with the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a scene off Highway 76 in Robertson County, where burned human remains were found on February 1st.

Montgomery County Agencies receive $533,591 in Tennessee Highway Safety Grants

 

Governor Bill Haslam Awards $24.2 Million in Highway Safety Grants

386 Agencies to Receive Funds to Improve Safety on Tennessee Roadways

State of TennesseeNashville, TN – Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer and Governor’s Highway Safety Office Director Kendell Poole announced the Tennessee agencies that received grant awards totaling more than $24.2 million to support highway traffic safety efforts.

The Clarksville Police Department was awarded $217,835.44 for alcohol enforcement. The 19th Judicial District Attorney General got $185,775.97 for DUI abatement and prosecution. $125,000 was received by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for traffic enforcement. John Carney Jr. spoke at the 106th Annual Lone Oak Picnic

 

Election 2014Cunningham, TN – 19th Judicial District Attorney General John Carney Jr. talked to the crowd Saturday, July 27th, 2014, at the 106th Annual Lone Oak Picnic held by the Central Civitan Club.

“I want to take this opportunity to talk about the issues of the District Attorney’s office.” Carney said. “For those that don’t know me, I’m John Carney. I was raised here in Clarksville over in the New Providence/Greenwood area. I played football at Clarksville High School. I went on to Vanderbilt University and got my degree there.”

Joel Wallace talked at 106th Annual Lone Oak Picnic

“You know we have been working really hard in this election. We’re going to continue working hard over the next week,” stated Wallace. “Going around and talking to folks when we’ve been out knocking on doors and talking to voters, the message I have heard from people is that they want a change in office of District Attorney.”

Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrests Robertson County Bail Bondsman

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation last night arrested a Robertson County bail bondsman for conspiring to steal from a local Walmart store.

Terry Conn, 48, of Springfield, was indicted by the Robertson County grand jury last month on one count of conspiracy to commit theft of property. In October of 2012, the 19th Judicial District Attorney General requested TBI to open an investigation into allegations of conspiring to steal property from the Springfield Walmart.

Former Clarksville Bank Teller faces additional Charges for Theft from Bank

 

Tennessee Bureau of InvestigationNashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation obtained additional indictments against a former Clarksville bank teller after presenting the case to the Montgomery County grand jury earlier this month.

Kristy Hodges, 30, of Cunningham, Tennessee. was indicted on an additional 43 counts of false bookkeeping and one count of theft over $60,000. She was arrested on March 12th, 2013 and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $5,000 bond.
