Loaves and Fishes Support of Christmas in July

 

Loaves and FishesClarksville, TN – Christmas came early for some Clarksville families thanks to Loaves and Fishes of Clarksville and First Presbyterian Church!

On Saturday, July 25th Loaves and Fishes partnered with First Presbyterian Church to provide food boxes to 40 Norman Smith Elementary School families who usually receive FUEL Bags. 

Tamara Long, Chairperson for Loaves and Fishes Board stated, “The mission of loaves and Fishes is not just a meal program.  Our mission also includes sharing the gift of food pantry items back to our community through partner agencies and events like Christmas in July.”

Arts for Hearts Clarksville, First Presbyterian Church partner to create Sew Kind Mask covers to support community

 

Arts for Hearts ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Arts for Hearts Clarksville and First Presbyterian Church are working together to help our medical community during this time. Face masks have been in short supply all over the country and our hope is that we can join together and share our creative spirits to help our communities during this challenging time.

Volunteers are asked to make mask covers.

Important: The mask covers are NOT to replace the protective masks, but to be used in conjunction with them.

Legal Aid Society Partnership Offers Free Legal Advice at Clarksville Soup Kitchen

 

Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the CumberlandsClarksville, TNLegal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, Tennessee’s largest non-profit law firm, announced today a partnership with First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville to launch the Presbyterian Legal Assistance Network (PLAN).

Staff attorneys from Legal Aid Society’s Clarksville office will provide a free legal clinic at a meal program, Loaves and Fishes, which operates out of the church six days per week.
