APSU Football tickets to FCS Kickoff now on sale

 

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) has put its Guardian Credit Union FCS Kickoff ticket allotment on sale through its ticket website. The Governors will meet Central Arkansas in the August 29th, 2020 event at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Alabama.

Instant Peay Play: APSU Football’s defense continues to stifle opponents run game

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – The Austin Peay State University (APSU) football team continues to be one of the best run-stopping defenses in the nation, as this past weekend in Macon, GA, the Governors held the Mercer Bears rushing attack to less than 50 yards from scrimmage.

In giving up just 43 net yards from scrimmage on the ground to Mercer, it marks the third straight week the Govs run defense has allowed their opponents less than 60 total rushing yards net in a contest, with APSU giving up 53 yards to North Carolina Central in the season opener on August 29th and 32 yards to Central Arkansas on September 7th.

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – Coming off its first loss of the season to nationally-ranked Central Arkansas, the Austin Peay State University (APSU) football team looks to bounce back on the road versus high-scoring Mercer.

The Governors (1-1) gave No. 18-ranked Central Arkansas (2-0) all they wanted this past Saturday, at Fortera Stadium, taking the game down to the final seconds before coming up short, 24-16, despite losing starting quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall to a leg injury on their second drive of the game.
