Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds announced that Brad Tammen resigned from his position as the team’s General Manager yesterday afternoon to pursue other career opportunities.
“During my 25 years in baseball and specifically the last five years with the Nashville Sounds, I am proud of what we have accomplished in this world class city. We have developed an outstanding program with the support and commitment of great fans, sponsors, players, management and ownership,” Tammen said.
Fans Encouraged To Bring Their Dogs To Greer Stadium
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds host a “Bark In The Park” promotion on Sunday, August 10th, giving fans a chance to bring their favorite pooch to the ballpark for the first time since 2004.
The event, which will occur before and during the Sounds’ 6:35pm game against the Round Rock Express, is presented in partnership with the Nashville Humane Association.

No peanuts or peanut-related products will be sold at the ballpark during that night’s 7:05pm game against Colorado Springs Sky Fox, and special efforts have been made to clean the ballpark to rid it of any peanut residue, in the order to make it a fun evening at the ballpark for Sounds fans with peanut allergies.

102.5 FM Will Continue To Broadcast Nashville Sounds Baseball Games
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club is excited to announce an extension of its partnership with 102.5 “The Game” (WPRT-FM) as the team’s flagship station for game broadcasts during the 2014 season.
The Game, which has served as the team’s flagship station since 2012, will air all of the Sounds’ 144 games over the airwaves on 102.5 FM or 94.9 FM “Game 2” in 2014.

Nashville, TN – Officials from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the Nashville Sounds, Metro Parks staff, and Friends of Edwin Warner Park, along with other volunteers, gathered at the park to plant trees as part of the “Swing for the Trees” program.
“Swing for the Trees” is a tree planting program to promote the importance of trees to Tennessee. The TWRA participated in the program beginning last season. During the Sounds home games, where there was at least one broken bat, resulted in the opportunity for obtaining trees to be planted this spring. A total of 114 bats were broken by the Sounds in 2012.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds announced today that veteran broadcaster Jeff Hem has been named as the club’s new play-by-play announcer. Hem, who was selected from among more than 100 applicants, will serve as the “Voice of the Sounds” on all 144 game broadcasts during the upcoming 2012 season.

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds Baseball Club is pleased to announce the addition of seven new full-time members to its front office staff as well as two internal promotions.
Doug Scopel, who has been a member of the Sounds’ staff since February 2000, has been promoted to Assistant General Manager. In addition to his duties of overseeing the communications, stadium operations, baseball operations, and groundskeeping departments in his previous role as Director of Operations & Communications.
He will also direct the club’s community relations efforts and serve as the team’s primary interface for its concessions partner, Centerplate.
