Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium on Tuesday, July 30th, for their ninth homestand of the season.
The stand is the last to feature eight games, beginning with a four-game series with the Las Vegas 51s (New York Mets affiliate) spanning July 30th-August 2nd, and another with the Tucson Padres (San Diego Padres affiliate).
The homestand will be highlighted by two fireworks shows, two giveaway nights, Star Wars Night and the final BURGER KING Throwback Thursday and Trevecca Nazarene University FAITH NIGHTS.
Albuquerque, NM – The Nashville Sounds allowed a season-high 18 hits in Tuesday night’s 10-1 loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes. The loss gives the ‘Topes the series win with still one game remaining in the three-game set at Isotopes Park.
Sounds starting pitcher Chris Narveson (2-5) had a rough night, allowing nine runs to the Isotopes over 4 1/3 innings. He allowed 12 hits to Albuquerque batters, the most surrendered by a Sounds pitcher this season, to take his fifth loss. He fanned one and walked one.

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium on Thursday, July 11th, for their seventh homestand of the season. The stand will feature one four-game series against the cross-state rival Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate) spanning July 11th-14th.
The series will be the finale of the four-part Tennessee Lottery I-40 Cup Series, which is currently knotted at six wins apiece between the two clubs. Whoever wins the most games in the season series will be awarded the silver I-40 Cup. Nashville is the current holder, winning 9-7 in 2012. The Sounds will retain the cup with a season series spilt.
Memphis, TN – The Nashville Sounds were unable to figure out either side of the Memphis Redbirds Sunday night at AutoZone Park, who limited Nashville to three hits in the decisive 13-3 loss. As a result, Memphis wins the four-game series 3-1.
Trailing 4-0 in the fourth inning, Sounds slugger Hunter Morris came up with a three-run home run to right field to pull Nashville to within one. The homer, Morris’ 18th of the season, scored Scooter Gennett and Josh Prince.
Memphis, TN – The Nashville Sounds were unable to keep pace with the Memphis Redbirds Saturday night at AutoZone Park, held to five hits in the 7-2 loss by Nick Additon (6-4) and company.
Additon retired the first 14 Nashville batters in order before outfielder Hainley Statia touched the lefty for a home run to left field. The homer, Statia’s second in as many games after not having one since July 30th, 2011, pulled the Sounds to within two, trailing 3-1 in the fifth.
Metairie, LA – The Nashville Sounds rallied to overcome five home runs delivered by the New Orleans Zephyrs Tuesday afternoon at Zephyr Field to win the series finale 7-5.
Down 4-2 in the eighth, the Sounds worked the bases loaded with no outs to spark the beginning of their late-game rally. Catcher Anderson De La Rosa cut the Z’s lead to one by nubbing an RBI ground out to first base, scoring Hainley Statia, who singled to lead off the frame.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium on Thursday, June 27th, for their sixth homestand of the season: a seven-day, eight-game stretch in which the team welcomes the Oklahoma City RedHawks (Houston Astros affiliate) for five games spanning June 27th-30th and the Round Rock Express for a three-gamer (Texas Rangers affiliate) from July 1st-3rd.
Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium on Monday, June 10th, for their fifth homestand of the season: an eight-game stretch in which the team welcomes the division-rival Omaha Storm Chasers (Kansas City Royals affiliate) for four games spanning June 10th-13th and the New Orleans Zephyrs (Miami Marlins affiliate) from June 14th-17th.

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds held on to an early four-run lead Wednesday night at Greer Stadium to defeat the visiting Iowa Cubs by a 4-3 margin.
The Sounds put two runs on the board in the first inning via outfielder Josh Prince’s double down the left-field line. The hit scored Caleb Gindl, who singled on a grounder into right field, and Stephen Parker, having reached base on balls.
