6th annual Fine Fettle set for Saturday, September 28th

 

The Food InitiativeClarksville, TN – On Saturday, September 28th, 2019, the Food Initiative will hold it’s 6th annual Fine Fettle at “The Venue” at the Old Glory Distilling Co. An evening unlike any other in Clarksville, guests will be immersed in a farm-to-table culinary experience.

Featuring nine leading chefs from across the region, locally sourced foods, elevated wine pairings, an open bar, a silent and live auction.

The event runs from 6:30pm until 9:30pm.

Austin Peay State University first college in country to have Chick-fil-A kiosks

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) students returning to campus this week will notice something different in the Morgan University Center’s food court – several state-of-the-art digital kiosks in front of the venue’s Chick-fil-A.

The ordering stations are part of a new, $257,000 renovation of the restaurant, and the APSU location marks the first time Chick-fil-A has installed the kiosks on a college campus.

Austin Peay State University’s Center for Service-Learning & Community Engagement ramps up sustainability efforts with compost machine

 

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – One of the missions of Austin Peay State University’s Center for Service-Learning & Community Engagement is to keep things local.

From its S.O.S. Food Pantry that takes donations and makes them available for needy students to its Victory Gardens and egg-producing chickens that generate fresh food, the Center has a keen interest in taking care of its own.

Austin Peay announces Pairings for August 4th APSU Governors Golf Classic

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Pairings have been announced for Friday’s Austin Peay State University/Echo Power Engineering Governors Golf Classic fundraiser, presented by Hand Family Companies and the APSU Governors Club, is set for August 4th, 2017 at the Clarksville Country Club and Swan Lake Golf Course.

New this year is a Women’s Division, which includes breakfast at the course courtesy of Bojangles, teeing off at 8:00am at the Clarksville Country Club. The Open Division – lunch included, with Dairy Queen provided on the course – tees off at 12:30pm from both courses.

Pairings to be released Wednesday

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU)’s annual Governors Golf Classic will be held Friday, July 22nd at the Swan Lake Gold Course, the Clarksville Country Club and the Links at Novadell.

Tee times will be available Wednesday, on LetsGoPeay.com, Facebook and Twitter, with assignments also emailed to each golfer.

Registration begins at 9:30am with a 10:30am shotgun start at all three courses.

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU Clarksville, TN – We’re less than a month away from the annual APSU Governors Golf Classic, presented by Hand Family Companies, and spots are filling up fast at all three courses.

Limited spots remain as Swan Lake Golf Course, Clarksville Country Club and the Links at Novadell have generated great response for Clarksville’s only four-player, best-ball scramble that supports Austin Peay student-athletes through scholarships and program enhancements.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Arts and Heritage to hold Valentine’s arts event with Chocolate, Champagne, and Chamber Music February 14th

 

Clarksville Arts and Heritage Development CouncilClarksville, TN – Clarksvillians can buy Valentine’s gifts from local artists, sample champagne and heart-healthy chocolates from local caterers, and enjoy chamber music by local musicians at the seventh annual Valentine’s Day Afternoon with the Arts, Sunday, February 14th, 2016.

The Clarksville/Montgomery County Arts & Heritage Development Council and F&M Bank are hosting this event from 1:00pm until 4:00pm in F&M Bank’s Franklin Room, with its spectacular views of downtown and the Cumberland River.

At last year’s Valentine’s Afternoon with the Arts, Jo Jenkins looked over bowls with woodcarver Terry Ellis. This year’s event, hosted by the Clarksville/Montgomery County Arts and Heritage Development Council and F&M Bank, will be Sunday, February 14th, in the bank’s Franklin Room.
