The gift will be used exclusively to establish the CMC Community Health Foundation Equipment & Building Fund with the APSU Foundation, to support the Health Professions Building and additional equipment needs.

Montgomery County’s Civitan Park 25 Acre Expansion Open for Use

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – On Friday evening, September 6th, 2019, approximately 200 people gathered to celebrate the much-anticipated opening of the 25-acre expansion, including Rotary’s Field of Dreams, at Montgomery County’s Civitan Park.

The idea for the park expansion began nine years ago with a vision to have a space that kids with special needs could call their own. That vision is now a wonderful reality for children, young adults and parents alike.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces large outdoor fitness center now open at McGregor Park

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces that the McGregor Park North Extension Trailhead is now home to the largest outdoor fitness center in Clarksville, thanks to a group of Clarksville Academy students and a grant from the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Health Foundation.

Students in Clarksville Academy’s Challenge Based Learning program wrote the fitness center grant request, which was approved by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Health Foundation.

Montgomery County’s Rotary Park Disc Golf Course Expansion Complete

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – Thanks to a grant from Clarksville Montgomery County Community Health Foundation acquired by students from Clarksville Academy in partnership with Montgomery County Parks and Recreation, Phase II of the Rotary Park Disc Golf Project has been completed.

The course is now 18-holes with a red and yellow basket for each of the 18 concrete tees, giving players of all ages and skill levels an opportunity to enjoy the game.

“The Rotary Field of Dreams” for Special Needs Families

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – In support of their Rotary International Community Service Project, the three Rotary Clubs of Clarksville provided their first donation of $323,000 for the construction of a specially designed, multi-purpose sports field that will support the county’s special needs athletes, families and support networks.
