City of Clarksville breaks ground on District 3 Police Precinct

 

$3 million project will provide modern workspace for Clarksville Police

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – Clarksville leaders broke ground Friday on a new District 3 Police Precinct to provide an expanded modern space to serve the public and improve the effectiveness of officers and detectives.

The new precinct will be built on a 1.5 acre site on International Boulevard just east of Interstate 24/Exit 8 next to Clarksville Fire Rescue Station 12.

Handling the ceremonial groundbreaking for Clarksville’s District 3 Police Precinct were (L to R), Captain James Smith, City Councilman Jeff Henlen, Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts, Clarksville Police Chief David Crockarell, Daniel Binkley of Rufus Johnson Associates and J.R. Fredrick of Boger Construction.

Clarksville Transit System adds Bus Shelters, Map of Stops

 

Clarksville Transit SystemClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Transit System (CTS) continues to drive forward in its efforts to update or replace bus shelters throughout Clarksville.

“We understand the need for updating or replacing current shelters and continue to make that a priority for the community,” said Paul Nelson, CTS Interim Director.

The Clarksville Transit System continues to add new bus shelters throughout Clarksville. The shelters include a bench, solar powered LED lights, a trash receptacle and space for wheelchair access.

Clarksville Police report Motorcycle, Car Accident on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police responded to the scene of a serious motorcycle and car injury crash near Wilma Rudolph Boulevard/Holiday Drive in front of McDonald’s, Saturday, April 6th, 2019.

The three southbound lanes of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard were closed. Officers used the center turn lane to keep traffic moving in both directions. The lanes were closed until 7:09pm.

As of now, there is one injury and the person will most likely be LifeFlighted.

Clarksville Police worked a wreck between a motorcycle and a car on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard Saturday afternoon.
