Matt Davidson started the offensive barrage with a three-run homer off Oklahoma City starter J.D. Martin in the first inning. Andy Ibanez joined the home run derby with a solo blast in the second inning and Patrick Wisdom launched a two-run shot in the eighth. For Davidson, it was his team-leading 28th of the season. Nashville Sounds come from behind to beat Omaha Storm Chasers, 5-3
Trailing 3-2 into the bottom of the seventh, the first six batters reached safely for the Sounds. After back-to-back singles to start the inning by Christian Lopes and Nick Solak, Zack Granite’s base hit to center field evened the game at 3-3. Nashville Sounds get 4-2 win against Omaha Storm Chasers at First Tennessee Park
The only baserunners Palumbo allowed came via walks. He issued a two-out walk in the first and a two-out walk in the fourth but escaped both innings with no damage. He struck out seven batters and threw 54 of his 81 pitches for strikes. Jett Bandy fired up the offense in the second inning when he hit the first of three solo home runs by Nashville on the night. Nashville Sounds score in Ninth for 3-2 win over Sacramento River Cats
Solak’s clutch homer was part of a huge night for the Sounds second baseman. The blast came on a 1-1 pitch off Sacramento reliever Dan Winkler. Solak went 3-for-4 with the home run and a double. His single in the fifth inning extended his hitting streak to 13 games. Nashville Sounds get 5-1 victory at Fresno Grizzlies
Wisdom’s long ball was his sixth in his last five games, and his 18th in his last 40 contests. He has homered in five consecutive games. Nashville Sounds blast Fresno Grizzlies, 12-2
Granite’s first-of-four hits came in the first at bat of the game when he hit a leadoff triple. Andy Ibanez hit him in on a sacrifice fly to give Nashville a 1-0 lead in the first. Two more runs scored in the third inning for the Sounds. Granite hit his second triple of the game and was knocked in again by Ibanez on a single. The Sound scored first in the bottom of the first inning when Matt Davidson hit an RBI ground out that scored Andy Ibanez. With a 1-0 lead and the bases loaded in the second, Guzman drilled a 1-2 pitch from Dietrich Enns into the Vanderbilt Health Picnic Place in right-center for a grand slam and 5-0 lead. Nashville Sounds falter late in 7-5 loss to San Antonio Missions
Nashville was in charge by a score of 4-2 when San Antonio plated four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take control. The Missions never trailed the rest of the way. For the fifth consecutive game, the Sounds allowed at least one run in the first inning.
