The contest was the Sounds’ PCL-leading 16th extra-inning affair of the year (6-10 in those games). Designated hitter Mat Gamel went 2-for-4 with a homer and a double for Nashville. Outfielders Caleb Gindl and Brandon Boggs added two hits. Leadoff hitter Logan Schafer went hitless to snap his 10-game hitting streak, the longest active streak on the club. Round Rock opened the contest with a 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Packed House Watches Nashville Win, 3-2, Over Round Rock In Home Opener
Center fielder Logan Schafer and second baseman Eric Farris each doubled while recording three hits in the victory. The three-hit game for Schafer was his first of the season and also extended his hitting streak to nine games, the longest active streak on the club. In his first game back with the Sounds, Farris went a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
