Nashville, TN – On Kickoff Weekend of the 2019 season, the Tennessee Titans traveled to the Cleveland Browns to face the Browns and won by a score of 43-13.
Both Cleveland and Tennessee put together 73-yard scoring drives on each team’s opening possessions. First, with help from first down receptions by Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. and Browns WR Rashard Higgins, and a first down rush by Browns RB Nick Chubb, Browns RB Dontrell Hilliard ran in a four-yard score.
Nashville, TN – This week’s game marks the 68th all-time meeting between the Tennessee Titans and the Cleveland Browns. In the previous 67 outings, the Browns own a 35-32 advantage, including separate nine- and six-game winning streaks by the Browns.
However, the Titans have taken the last three battles. The Titans’ nine-game losing streak against the Browns from 1970-74 is tied (Oakland, 1966-73) for the second-longest in franchise history. The clubs have played one playoff game, a 24-23 Wild Card win by the Oilers in 1988.

The first meeting of 2020 was only two weeks ago (November 12th) in a nationally-televised Thursday night game. The Colts scored 24 consecutive points and took advantage of Titans special teams miscues to secure a 34- 17 victory. The Titans had a punt for 17 yards, a punt blocked and a missed field goal contribute to the defeat.

The two teams most recently met in Indianapolis on December 1st, 2019. The Titans blocked two field goals in the game, and Ryan Tannehill’s two touchdown passes helped them win 31-17 in the team’s second all-time win at Lucas Oil Stadium.
In the first meeting of 2019, played on September 15th, the Colts invaded Nissan Stadium and escaped with a 19-17 victory.

At 2-4, there was little indication that the Titans would be playing well into January.
With a home date against the Los Angeles Chargers next on the schedule, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel made the decision to insert eighth-year veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill into the starting lineup for the first time since he arrived in Tennessee.

On the opening kickoff, WR Darius Jennings returned the ball 58 yards and helped set the tone for Tennessee. As the Titans offense took the field, QB Marcus Mariota constructed a seven-play, 40-yard scoring drive that resulted in a four-yard touchdown pass to TE Jonnu Smith, as Tennessee put up points early, 7-0.
New England’s offense took the field and responded with their own scoring drive.

Nashville, TN – With four games remaining in the regular season and the Tennessee Titans (7-5) one game out of first place in the AFC South, they take a three-game winning streak on the road this week to face the Oakland Raiders (6-6). Kickoff at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum (capacity 55,997) is scheduled for 1:25pm PST/3:25pm CST on Sunday, December 8th.
This week marks the final scheduled appearance by the Titans in Oakland. The Raiders are set to begin playing games at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in 2020.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (4-4) look for their third consecutive victory this week, as they travel to Carolina to meet the Panthers (4-3). Kickoff at Bank of America Stadium (73,778) is scheduled for 1:00pm EST/noon CST on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019.
The trip marks only the third time the Titans have played a regular season game in Charlotte. They won both of the previous contests, most recently in 2011.

At halftime of the game, controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk and the Titans will retire Steve McNair’s No. 9 jersey and running back Eddie George’s No. 27 jersey. They will become the seventh and eighth players in franchise history to have their numbers retired. Among the 31 other NFL clubs, there is not another No. 9 or No. 27 jersey retired.
