Manna Café Ministries will Open Warming Center Sunday

 

Manna Café MinistriesClarksville, TN – As below-freezing temperatures are predicted next week, Manna Café Ministries will open its Emergency Warming Center at the Refuge Outreach Center, 503 D Street, Clarksville, TN, 37042 at Manna Village.

The center will be open from Sunday, November 29th, 2020 until Sunday, December 6th. Guests can check in beginning at 4:00pm each evening and will check out each day by 10:00am (to allow for thorough cleaning due to COVID-19 guidelines).

Clothing distribution directors Tanya Johnson and Shelly Cooper say, “Please think of our friends outside and go through your closets this weekend. Being homeless is real. Every homeless person has a name and a story, and everyone deserves warmth and protection during the winter. Thank you for your generosity!”

There will be games, food, clothes, live music, school supplies, and more.

Manna Café Ministries releases second update of Programs, Services due to Coronavirus

 

Manna Café MinistriesClarksville, TN – In continual response to Coronavirus (COVID-19), Manna Café Ministries has made several adjustments to their services. Says Director Kenny York, “Along with Manna Café Board of Directors and Staff, I am committed to continuing our services while also keeping clients, staff, and volunteers safe.”

“Our goal is to honor current guidelines while also remembering that many people have lost part or all of their income and need even more access to food, hygiene items, and so on,” stated York.

Manna Café Ministries to hold Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Refuge Community Center

 

Manna Café MinistriesClarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for its newly completed Refuge Community Center.

Manna Café Ministries seeks full-time Transportation Team member

 

Manna Café MinistriesClarksville, TN – One of the dynamic forces of Manna Café and its operations are drivers. However, this position will require more than operating a vehicle.

The team member will carry out food rescue pickups at local grocery stores and businesses, and ensure timely delivery of meals and supplies for programs such as Mobile Café (hot community meals) and Mobile Food Pantries.

Manna Café set to move to Manna Village in August

 

Manna Café MinistriesClarksville, TN – The Director and staff of Manna Café Ministries are pleased to announce that Manna Café will be making its full and permanent move to the Manna Village located at 605 Providence Boulevard in August.

 “Our plan was to move all operations from our current location to the Village in about a year, but our time frame is now 30 days. This is both exciting and daunting,” says director Kenny York.
