Founded in 1905, the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 116th year in Montgomery County. At the annual Gala, held June 8th, Chairman Paul Turner announced and welcomed his 2021-2022 Executive Committee and Board of Directors.

With a successful landing 340 days later on March 1st, 2016, the pair completed one of the most ambitious missions in the history of the International Space Station and opened a new chapter in human exploration.

Washington, D.C. – NASA astronaut and Expedition 46 Commander Scott Kelly and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Kornienko returned to Earth Tuesday after a historic 340-day mission aboard the International Space Station. They landed in Kazakhstan at 11:26pm EST/10:26 CT (10:26am March 2nd Kazakhstan time).
Joining their return trip aboard a Soyuz TMA-18M spacecraft was Sergey Volkov, also of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, who arrived on the station September 4th, 2015. The crew touched down southeast of the remote town of Dzhezkazgan.
Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation Awards Nearly $20,000 In Great Idea Grants to Local Educators
Clarksville, TN – For the past seven years, the Education Foundation has offered Clarksville-Montgomery County School (CMCSS) educators the opportunity to compete for funds that benefit their classrooms and special projects in a non-traditional way.
Education Foundation president Brian Taylor notes that the increase in funds awarded is possible because of contributions made by individual community members to recent Foundation fundraisers including the Vision to Reality Banquet and the Annual Campaign.
The Champions of Fort Campbell award allows Fort Campbell to recognize and give local citizens who have spent their lives supporting Fort Campbell a small token of appreciation.
Maj. Gen. James C. McConville presented the award and unveiled a portrait sized copy of the photo of Valerie Hunter Kelly that would be placed on the wall of honor with the previously selected champions of Fort Campbell.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission meeting to discuss investigation into Employee Grievance
Montgomery County, TN – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission will hold a special called meeting Wednesday at 4:00pm to hear recommendations from Clarksville City Attorney Lance Baker, and Montgomery County Attorney Austin Peay on a list of law firms they suggest could handle an investigation into a grievance filed against a member of the Planning Commission.

Clarksville, TN – There was tension in the air at a special called meeting of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission today, as commissioners voted to hire attorneys to investigate a grievance filed by an employee of the commission against a member of the planning commission, Mabel Larson.
