NFL, American Heart Association, Discovery Education to host Virtual Field Trip Live from Super Bowl LI

 

Free Virtual Class to be Live-Streamed in Classrooms Nationwide

American Heart AssociationDallas, TX – The NFL and American Heart Association, together with Discovery Education, will host the first-ever AHA-NFL PLAY 60 Challenge Virtual Field Trip (VFT) live from Houston on Tuesday, January 31st at 12:00pm CT during the NFL Experience Driven by Genesis.

The free virtual class will be live-streamed in classrooms across the country, reaching thousands of students. Houston Texans players Whitney Mercilus and Christian Covington and the American Heart Association’s Mercedes Carnethon, Ph.D. will teach students the science behind cardio and strength exercises that NFL players use to stay fit and active.

Tennessee Titans Paid a Surprise Visit to Clarksville’s Northeast Middle School

Clarksville, TNFuel Up to Play 60The Clarksville-Montgomery County School System played host to a visit from the Tennessee Titans and Tennessee State Parks at Northeast Middle School on Wednesday as part of the NFL’s Play 60 Initiative.

Designed to tackle childhood obesity, NFL PLAY 60 brings together the NFL’s long-standing commitment to health and fitness with an impressive roster of partner organizations which in Tennessee includes the Tennessee State Parks, American Heart Association of Middle Tennessee and is focused on increasing the wellness of young fans by encouraging them to be active for at least 60 minutes a day.

Tennessee Titans Chief Operating Officer Mike Reinfeldt named to Board of New National Football League Foundation

The newly-formed foundation will focus on youth football, health and safety and community, according to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who announced the formation of the new organization at an NFL meeting in Dallas, TX.

Tennessee Titans Back to Football 5k Registration going on now

 

Tennessee Titans Back to Football 5kNashville, TN – The goal line is normally the most desired destination at LP Field, but the home of the Titans will feature a finish line in August.

The Titans, Competitor Group and the city of Nashville have joined forces to offer the first Titans Back to Football 5K race on August 25th. The race will start near the stadium and conclude on the field two days after the Titans host the Arizona Cardinals in a preseason game.

2012 Tennessee Titans CaravanNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans have announced the players scheduled to appear in this year’s Titans Caravan, sponsored by Grange Insurance.  A total of 12 current and former players are in the Caravan lineup, as well as Titans head coach Mike Munchak.
