Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department reports that Trice Landing Park, including the boat ramp, will be closed May 5th-8th, 2020 to allow tree clean up and removal of large trees damaged in a severe storm last October that caused widespread power outages.
During the tree removal, boaters are encouraged to use McGregor or Liberty Park ramps to access the Cumberland River.
Trice Landing Park, 99 Oak Street, overlooks the Cumberland River. It is 30.5 acres and features a quarter-mile walking trail, picnic area and boat ramp to the river.
Clarksville, TN – Tennessee Riverkeeper, Inc. has filed a lawsuit under the Clean Water Act (CWA), against the City of Clarksville for violations of the CWA and the Tennessee Water Quality Control Act.
The Clarksville Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) has had four hundred twelve (412) violations within the past five years and over twenty-four million six hundred eighteen thousand five hundred ninety-one (24,618,592) gallons of untreated sewage released into the environment.

Clarksville, TN – Manna Café Ministries is conducting an emergency hot meal today, Sunday, October 27th, 2019. This meal will take place at 605 Providence Boulevard facing Oak Street from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
This hot meal is in direct response to the storm that hit Clarksville and surrounding areas yesterday and all the residents affected by the storm.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police were called after a 30 year old man, who had been shot in the stomach, showed up at his friend’s home on Oak Street around 4:00am this morning.
They drove him to the EMS station on Providence Boulevard for help. He was transported by Lifeflight to a Nashville hospital for treatment of the gunshot wound.

Clarksville, TN – On Monday, July 15th, 2019, Clarksville Police responded to a shooting on Providence Boulevard. Officers found a man that had sustained gunshot wounds at the intersection of E Street and Oak Street. He was taken to a Nashville Hospital.
The 22 year old shooting victim was treated and released.
Clarksville Police are still trying to locate the Ford F-150 which fled from the shooting scene.
Clarksville, TN – On Monday, July 15th, 2019, Clarksville Police Officers were called a shots fired in the area of 600 block of Providence Boulevard where a man was saw running, that may have been shot, around 2:30pm.
When officers arrived they found a man in his 20s who had sustained gunshot wounds around the intersection of E Street and Oak Street. There were multiple shell casing located near the scene.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police (CPD) are investigating an incident that occurred on May 1st, 2019, around 10:30pm at 505 Providence Boulevard.
According to a witness, a man was outside of the business upset and angry and was being held back by some individuals.
Shortly after that, shots were fired.
Clarksville, TN – On May 26th, 2018 a 37 year old man was driving north on Oak Street at a high rate of speed with a female passenger, 31, in a gray 2005 Nissan Altima. The driver lost control and went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole on the driver side of the car.
The name of the driver who died at the scene was Craig Bobby Knight, 37, of Clarksville.
