Nashville Predators regain home ice advantage with win over the Dallas Stars 3-2

Nashville PredatorsDallas, Tx — The Nashville Predators came through in the clutch tonight against a very aggressive Dallas Star hockey team to win, 3-2.

Pekka Rinne was the difference maker for the Predators fighting off 40 of 42 shots by the Stars tonight who seemed relentless on goal.  Combined with a stifling defensive core for Nashville, they held off the Stars to regain home-ice advantage.

Rocco Grimaldi lit the lamp for Nashville at 3:29 of the second period, skating the puck along the boards, then firing the wrister past goalie Ben Bishop for the early 1-0 lead.

My Two Cents: The Nashville Predators race to a photo finish

My Two-Cents with Hank BonecutterClarksville, TN – The National Hockey League is racing to the finish line of their regular season schedule.  The “second” season begins next week with the start of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Nashville Predators have a spot in those playoffs, yet as of this writing, we don’t know who or where they will play.  It doesn’t matter, because Predators fans are RABID about their team even though their play of late hasn’t been too consistent.

Nashville Predators lose their 6th game of their last 11 falling to Anaheim Ducks 3-2

Nashville PredatorsAnaheim, CA – The Nashville Predators are limping to the finish line of the regular season, unable to find ways to win.  Tonight, they dug a two goal deficit, only fight back to lose 3-2.

As the Nashville coaching staff continues to try and find the line combinations that will “click” the Predators are still making too many turnovers and not capitalizing on their opportunities.

Ryan Getzlaf got the Ducks on the board first just 3:30 into the opening frame, taking a Josh Manson stretch pass and ripping a snap shot past Nashville goalie, Pekka Rinne and the Ducks would take the early lead, 1-0.

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators broke a three game home losing streak tonight by downing the visiting Arizona Coyotes, 5-2.  Nashville had to come from behind to do it.
