Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Urbanized Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CUAMPO), which is responsible for transportation planning for Clarksville-Montgomery County, Oak Grove and southern Christian County, KY, will host two public meetings in December to present the Draft 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
The meetings will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm December 3rd, 2018 at Oak Grove City Hall, 8505 Pembroke Road, and from 5:00pm-7:00pm December 4th, 2018 at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library, 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 501, Clarksville.
Fort Campbell, KY – Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) invites you to join R.F. Sink Library as they commemorate U.S. entry into World War I at their monthly Brunch and a Book meetings.
They will be holding the WWI Book Club meetings every month from now through December 2018. Here are the first three titles we’ll be discussing. The titles are available in the Library, as eBooks and eAudio.
The book meetings will be held at 12:00pm CT.
Fort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell Army Continuing Education Services (ACES) is hosting an education fair November 16th from 9:00am until 2:00pm at the SSG Glenn H. English, Jr. Army Education Center.
Twenty three colleges and universities will be represented, along with a number of education-related programs and organizations including, Veterans Affairs (VA), Sink Library, AMEDD, Military One Source, Women Veterans of America Chapter 20 and others.
This event is open to the public and provides an opportunity for military personnel, family members, civilians, retirees and others to speak face-to-face with representatives from public and private colleges and universities from across the nation regarding degree programs, enrollment policies and financial pathways.
New York Times bestselling author Sharyn McCrumb to receive Patricia Winn Award for Southern Fiction at Clarksville Writers Conference banquet June 4th
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Arts and Heritage Development Council will honor novelist Sharyn McCrumb with their first-ever Patricia Winn Award for Southern Fiction at the June 4th Clarksville Writers Conference banquet.
McCrum, award-winning Southern writer best known for her Appalachian “Ballad” novels, including a number of New York Times bestsellers, will also give the keynote address at Thursday evening’s banquet at Club Level of Austin Peay State University’s newly renovated Governors Stadium, featuring a gorgeous view of this historic campus.
Clarksville Arts and Heritage Development Council gives Lifetime Achievement Awards to Dr. Joe Filippo and Dr. Richard Gildrie
Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Arts and Heritage Development Council held a gala reception at Emerald Hills, Austin Peay State University, on Monday, November 10th to honor Dr. Richard Gildrie with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Heritage and Dr. Joe Filippo through the Lifetime Achievement Award for Arts.
The County Mayor, Jim Durrett, was introduced by James Moore, Treasurer of the CAHDC and Director of R. F. Sink Library at Fort Campbell, KY.
Fort Campbell, KY – The 2012 Summer Reading program is for the entire Family. What’s cooking this summer? Six weeks of fun, that’s what!
Starting on June 10th and running through July 19th. Reading rewards will be based on hours not books with check-in times between 10:30am and 1:30pm June 18th-21st, July 2nd-5th and July 16th-18th.

On April 12th, the Library will host two separate children’s parties in conjunction with its weekly story and craft time program.

On February 9th, the Library will host two separate children’s parties in conjunction with its weekly story and craft time program. Children will be given the materials to make a Valentine’s Day themed craft and refreshments will be provided as well. Party times are 10:30am and 1:30pm. Crafts are designed for preschoolers but all ages are welcome to attend and participate.

Fort Campbell, KY – Don’t worry, it’s the same great program, same days, just a new location and time. Beginning in January 2012, the Anime Club will be meeting at Taylor Youth Center from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30pm.
On the fourth Tuesday of every month, teens in 7th grade and older are invited to explore terminologies and origins of Anime, watch new Anime and talk Manga. Participants must be registered with CYSS.

Fort Campbell, KY – Grab your knitting needles, crochet hook and yarn and learn some new skills. Every Wednesday, a group of ladies will be at the R. F. Sink Library from 11:00am until 1:00pm to teach guests how to crochet and knit. Attendees must bring their own yarn and knitting needles and/or crochet hooks.
Fort Campbell employees are invited to participate during their lunch break and use this time to relax, relieve stress, learn new skills and develop new friendships.
