Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Oklahoma City Dodgers scored three late runs to complete a come-from-behind 3-2 win over the Nashville Sounds in front of a sellout crowd of 10,383 fans at First Tennessee Park Sunday night.

Trailing 1-0, Oklahoma City came up with five consecutive two-out hits in the sixth. Nashville starter Kyle Friedrichs set down Rocky Gale and Tim Locastro to start the inning before Breyvic Valera and Edwin Rios singled to put a pair of runners on base.

Nashville Sounds get 8-4 road win over Oklahoma City Dodgers

Nashville SoundsOklahoma City, OK – Nick Martini flexed his muscles with a pair of home runs to lead the Nashville Sounds past the Oklahoma City Dodgers 8-4 Saturday night. Jake Smolinski’s four-hit night and Kendall Graveman’s efficient pitching aided the Sounds as well.

Martini got the third inning started by pulling a solo blast over the right field fence to give Nashville a 2-0 advantage. He then showed off his power with an opposite field three-run shot in the sixth that pushed the Sounds’ advantage to 8-2. He became the fourth Sounds player this season to homer twice in a game.

El Paso Chihuahuas rally in the ninth to beat Nashville Sounds, 8-6

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The El Paso Chihuahuas scored a pair of runs in the ninth inning to grab an 8-6 win over the Nashville Sounds, spoiling Bark in the Park Night in front of 8,691 humans and 500+ dogs at First Tennessee Park Tuesday night.

Nashville (13-16) scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth to even the game at 6-6 only to see El Paso do the exact same in the ninth to steal a series-clinching win.

Reliever Ross Detwiler started the top of the ninth for the Sounds and got two quick outs before yielding a walk to Diego Goris. The Sounds turned to right-hander Simon Castro out of the bullpen. He hit Dusty Coleman with a pitch, and then allowed consecutive run-scoring singles to Christian Villanueva and Rocky Gale.

Nashville Sounds fall to El Paso Chihuahuas, 5-4

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – Another late comeback attempt fell short for the Nashville Sounds in a 5-4 loss to the El Paso Chihuahuas in front of 5,943 fans at First Tennessee Park Monday night.

Renato Nuñez belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to pull the Sounds within a run, but that’s where the game ended up.

Nashville put three runners on after the home run but failed to score. Matt Chapman singled but was caught stealing moments later. After two more reached safely, Ryan LaMarre struck out to end the threat.

Tyler Ladendorf made his return to the First Tennessee Park infield and immediately made his presence known; recording a single to leadoff the first, before singling again in the second to give Nashville an early 1-0 lead.
