Nashville, TN – An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and other Middle Tennessee law enforcement agencies into the distribution of fake Percocet pills has resulted in the arrest of a Murfreesboro man.
TBI Special Agents with the Drug Investigation Division joined detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration, in tracking the source of pills that have contributed to multiple drugs overdoses that have occurred in the Murfreesboro area in the past week.
Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reports 22 People Indicted in Joint Middle Tennessee Drug Investigation
Nashville, TN – Investigators from The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s Drug Investigation Division, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Murfreesboro Police Department have obtained indictments for 22 individuals accused of being involved in a large-scale drug operation.

Clarksville, TN – On March 19th, 2015, William Lewis, a 27-year-old Clarksville resident, reported to Clarksville Police Officers a Burglary at his neighbor’s (victim) apartment at an apartment complex on the 800 block of Peachers Mill Road.
Lewis advised that two black males entered the victim’s apartment and ran out then got into a white Dodge Intrepid. Soon after Lewis’ report to Officers, the Officers found that Lewis had a warrant on file for Violation of Probation with Rutherford County and was arrested on scene.
Nashville, TN – As part of continuing casework into a Human Trafficking operation spanning several counties, Special Agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have obtained indictments for a Murfreesboro man accused of paying for sex with an underage victim.
At the request of former 16th District Attorney General Bill Whitesell, TBI Special Agents began investigating Adonis Ramon Hart on August 16th, 2012. During the course of the investigation, Agents developed information that Hart contacted a man selling sex with an underage female online.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has obtained indictments for a Rutherford County man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
TBI Agents, with the assistance of officers with the Murfreesboro Police Department and the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, began an investigation in 2013 to identify subjects in Tennessee using peer-to-peer networks to traffic in child pornography.
Tennessee Highway Patrol arrests Man after Hit and Run Accident involving Six Year Old Child in Rutherford County
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested a Murfreesboro man on Sunday night after a hit-and-run incident involving a six-year old child in Smyrna.
Jan Kevin Cooley, 52, was charged with aggravated vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an injury crash, driving on a revoked driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has removed one of the state’s Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives from the list after he was captured Friday afternoon in Rutherford County.
The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office assisted TBI and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force with a traffic stop near Sam Ridley Parkway on I-24 that led to the arrest.
David Powell, 38, of Smyrna, Tennessee was taken into custody along with his accomplice, Alyssa Cartwright, 36, of McMinnville, Tennessee.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today arrested a Department of Children’s Services employee with the assistance of DCS after TBI Special Agents discovered he was in possession of child pornography.
It does not appear he had access to any children in DCS care.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today arrested a Middle Tennessee man for killing his wife after her body was found decomposing in the woods off of highway 452 in Wilson County on August 20th, 2009.
