Fort Campbell to hold Wreaths Across America ceremony

 

Fort Campbell KY - 101st Airborne DivisionFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell will host a Wreaths Across America ceremony, Saturday at 11:00am at the 101st Airborne Division Headquarters in partnership with the Sunrise Rotary Club of Clarksville.

Wreaths representing the five services and one for POW/MIA will be placed at the Division headquarters. Following the ceremony, volunteers will hang 101 wreaths at the T.C. Freeman Gate entrance. The wreaths will be placed in honor of fallen service members in WWII, Vietnam, Gulf War, Humanitarian/Peace Keeper Missions, and the Global War on Terrorism.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office helps Rotary Club give away 24 Bicycles

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Sunrise Rotary Club and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) with the help of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) gave away 24 bicycles to local elementary school students.

The students were selected by the school resource officer and school administration from their respective elementary schools. Each student was chosen because he or she best represented the spirit of their school.

The bicycles were purchased by the Sunrise Rotary Club and RYLA.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Great American Clean-up event has Hundreds take part

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – On Saturday, April 28th, 2018 more than 400 people came out to the annual Clarksville-Montgomery County Great American Clean-up event. Participants cleaned up litter in various areas of the community from the industrial park to downtown.

The event is promoted through the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce and organized through Bi-County Solid Waste Management.

Sunrise Rotary Club gives $1,000 donation to Montgomery County Imagination Library

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County Public LibraryClarksville, TN – The Sunrise Rotary Club has given a $1,000 donation to the Imagination Library of Montgomery County in support of this important early literacy program.

Sunrise Rotary has been a staunch supporter of Imagination Library since its inception in Montgomery County in 2006 and has given well over $30,000 to IL through the years.
