Montgomery County Veterans Service to hold Veterans Outreach event this Friday, April 26th
Representatives from the MCVSO, Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs, and VA Tennessee Valley Health Care System will be available to provide information and enrollment opportunities for veterans and other eligible beneficiaries. TDVA will have several representatives present with laptops who will be able to file disability claims on site and the VA Regional Office will have a representative who will be able to set veterans up with an E-benefits account. Learn more about VA benefits such as:
There will also be opportunities to discuss non–VA programs and entitlements for veterans and their families with the following county, state, federal and community agencies, as well as these local veterans service organizations:
This outreach event is a great opportunity for veterans to meet personally with representatives of organizations that provide many fantastic opportunities related to all facets of life. Not only can claims be filed for VA benefits on site, but many other organizations will be able to accept applications for various programs and service organization memberships. Veterans interested in applying for benefits or memberships should bring their DD-214 to verify their eligibility. I encourage all veterans and family members to make plans to attend this free outreach event to see what services are available in our area for you. For more information about the outreach, please call the Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization at 931.553.5173.
