Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team opened the home part of its’ 2014 regular season schedule Saturday with a split of a doubleheader versus IUPUI, winning the opener 5-2 before falling in the nightcap, 5-1.

Employees at Volkswagen Chattanooga Vote Against Union Representation

 

VolkswagenChattanooga, TN – Volkswagen Chattanooga employees have voted in a secret ballot election against United Auto Workers (UAW) representation.

Clarksville Gas and Water’s Sewer Rehabilitation to begin again February 18th, 2014

Clarksville Police Department Sergeants Javier Matiz, David Galbraith presented with Police Chief’s Coins

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Friday, February 14th, 2014, Clarksville Police Chief Al Ansley presented Sgt Javier Matiz and Sgt David Galbraith with Police Chief’s Coins for their exemplary work in the apprehension of the suspects of an armed robbery.

On January 30th, 2013, there was an armed robbery in district 3 in which one of the subjects pistol whipped the victim. After the robbery the victim was able to call 911 and a description of the suspects was eventually put out.

Fort Campbell, KY – Capt. Christine Shepherd, the brigade nurse with Company C “Painkiller,” 801st Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), received the Army Nurse Corps’ 2014 Leadership Award of Excellence, February 6th, 2014, in a ceremony held during the Army Nurse Corps’ CJ Reddy Leadership Training Conference at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Request for attendance at the conference is coveted and competitive, requiring Army medical personnel to be nominated and vetted prior to receiving a course invitation.
