Clarksville’s Dunbar Cave State Park Programs for January 27th through January 31st, 2015
Dunbar Cave State Natural Area will present many nature programs during the year. There are programs for children and adults. Some of the upcoming events include: Woods Hike, Port Royal Trail Hike, Dunbar History, Night Stroll, Evening Hike, and Port Royal History Walk. Tuesday, January 27thWoods Hike Time: 9:00am – 11:00am Enjoy a 2 mile walk through the woods to look at trees, fungi, animals and other organisms. Reservations by: 4:30pm, January 25th. Port Royal Trail Hike Time: 3:00pm – 4:00pm Join us for a hike on the Port Royal Historic Area’s River Bottom Trail. Meet at River Bottom Trail parking lot. Reservations by: 4:30pm, January 25th. Dunbar History Time: 3:00pm – 4:00pm Enjoy a walk to the cave and back as you learn about our history. Reservations by: 4:30pm, January 25th. Thursday, January 29thNight Stroll Time: 5:15pm – 6:15pm Enjoy the natural area after dark on this short, easy walk suitable for all ages. Reservations by: 4:30pm, January 27th. Friday, January 30thEvening Hike Time: 4:00pm – 5:15pm We will walk through the woods and experience the park in the time before the sun sets. Reservations by: 4:30pm, January 28th. Saturday, January 31stPort Royal History Walk Time: 3:00pm – 4:00pm Join us for a walk around Port Royal Historic Area. Meet at the upper parking lot (beside the Masonic Lodge). Reservations by: 4:30pm, January 29th. Dunbar Cave State Park Programs InformationPrograms are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations by the Deadline Listed. Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled. All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed. Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children). Age limits are definite – please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given. Dunbar Cave State Park is located at 401 Old Dunbar Cave Road, Clarksville Tennessee. Port Royal State Historic Park is located at 3300 Old Clarksville Springfield Road, Adams, Tennessee.
