Clarksville Police Department
Clarksville, TN – A joint effort between officers and agents from the Clarksville Police Department and a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office K9 officer resulted in the seizure of almost 100 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana oil and $2,000 in cash.
Four men stopped in Clarksville for an overnight stay on their way to Florida, Thursday, September 27th, 2018 around 7:00pm, Clarksville Police Officers received a call from a business at the 600 block of Kennedy Lane about the odor of marijuana coming from one of the rooms.
After the officers went to the room they discovered one pound of marijuana located inside the room.
As the investigation unfolded, the MCSO’s K9 alerted on the two vehicles which the men were traveling in.
A search of the two vehicles yielded five large trash bags full of vacuum sealed bags of marijuana and a duffle bag with marijuana oils.
The seized marijuana’s total weight was 97 pounds.
The wholesale value of the drugs is approximately $250,000 with a street value estimated to be $500,000.
Christopher Smith
Christopher Smith, age 28 was charged with: Schedule IV (Marijuana) Drugs for Manufacture, Sell, Delivery and Drug Paraphernalia.
His bond is set at $200,000.
Evan Bongard
Evan Bongard, age 28, was charged with: Schedule VI (Marijuana) Drugs for Manufacture, Sell, Delivery and Drug Paraphernalia.
His bond is set at $200,000.
Abraham Meija Fagot
Abraham Meija Fagot, age 27, was charged with: Schedule VI (Marijuana) Drugs for Manufacture, Sell, Delivery and Drug Paraphernalia.
His bond is set at $200,000.
Phillip Dixon
Phillip Dixon, age 31, was charged with: Schedule VI (Marijuana) Drugs for Manufacture, Sell, Delivery and Drug Paraphernalia.
His bond is set at $200,000.
None of the men were Clarksville residents.
After the suspects were booked into the Montgomery County Jail, Clarksville Police Department Agent Joshua Smith summed up the sentiments of all officers involved in the drug bust: “Not In My City”!
