Nashville Predators defeat Minnesota Wild 5-2

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, Tn — The reigning Western Conference Champion Nashville Predators had to dig themselves out of a two goal deficit tonight to defeat the Minnesota Wild, 5-2.   In the much anticipated home opener, featuring more firepower in the line-up, Preds fans were feeling the excitement at puck drop.

Of course, it didn’t hurt when Keith Urban performed during the first intermission, keeping the Smashville faithful on their feet until the start of the second period.

TWRA reports Crockett County, Gibson County Declared High-Risk, Part of CWD Affected Area

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) says a Madison County deer sampled within 10 miles of Crockett County and Gibson County has tested positive for chronic wasting disease.

This causes Crockett County and Gibson County to become high-risk CWD counties. The TWRA fully expects more counties to be included in the CWD affected area this year.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has Six complete Jail Field Training Officers Program

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Ryan Foster, Tyler Lee, Brian Patridge, Zachary Tomer, Krystal Wayman, and Ethan Wilkerson on their completion of the Jail Field Training Officers (FTO) Program.

In recognition of their achievement, Montgomery County Sheriff John Fuson held a commencement ceremony on Friday, September 27th, 2019.

During the ceremony each deputy was sworn in before family and friends and received a certificate of completion.

Hampton Road Closed, Evacuation, due to Fire

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeClarksville, TN – Clarksville Fire Rescue, Montgomery County Volunteer Fire, Clarksville Police, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Montgomery County EMS and EMA are on the scene of a field fire off Charles Bell Road and Hampton Station Road.

Hampton Station Road is closed and residents have been asked to evacuate. No injuries are reported at this time.

Fire is spreading southeast from the railroad tracks in the area.

Mark Neblett selected as New Director for Bi-County Solid Waste Management

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – On Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019, Mark Neblett was appointed as executive director of the Bi-County Solid Waste Management (SWMS) by the Bi-County Solid Waste Management Board.

Neblett, who has been serving as the interim director since June 2019, has a 28-year work history with Bi-County SWMS. Prior to serving as interim director, he worked as the assistant director of compliance, safety, and development from 2017 to 2019 and as assistant director of operations for from 1992 to 2017.
