Lamar Alexander reports Senate Approves Funding to Combat Opioid Crisis, Fund National Parks

 

U.S. SenateWashington, D.C. – On Thursday, October 31st, 2019, United States Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) said the spending package passed by the Senate is a step in the right direction toward funding important priorities for Tennessee. 

“The spending bill passed today includes important priorities for Tennesseans, such as supporting Tennessee farmers, providing funding to help our state tackle the opioid crisis and reducing the maintenance backlog in our 419 national parks, including the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The next step is to conference our bills with the House of Representatives and send the bills to the president to become law,” Alexander said.

The women’s five-kilometer will begin at 10:00am, following the men’s race.

City of Clarksville tax bills have been mailed

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – City of Clarksville 2019 tax bills should start arriving in property owners’ mail boxes in the next few days.

The City Finance and Revenue Department has prepared 58,987 property tax bills, and they were mailed in batches on October 31st and November 1st.

Game History between Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans have played fewer games against the Carolina Panthers than any other NFL team. There have been just five regular season matchups and three preseason meetings (2010, 2016 and 2017) since the Panthers began play as an expansion team in 1995.

The Titans won three consecutive regular season games in the series after losing the initial meeting, but the Panthers bounced back with a 27-10 win at Nissan Stadium on November 15th, 2015.
