President Donald Trump’s Average Unemployment Rate is the Lowest in Recorded History

 

The White HouseWashington, D.C. – “President Donald Trump starts off 2020 having presided over a lower average unemployment rate than any president at a comparable point in office in recorded history,” Philip Klein reports in the Washington Examiner.

“Since February 2017, Trump’s first full month in office, the monthly unemployment rate has averaged 3.9%. No prior president has averaged less than 4% over the first 35 months of his presidency. The closest was Dwight Eisenhower.”

AAA says National Gas Price Average has no change since January 1st

 

AAANashville, TN – The Tennessee Gas Price average  is $2.36 which is three cents less than last week, but six cents higher than one month ago and 37 cents higher than one year ago. 

Despite crude oil price fluctuation and growing geopolitical concerns with Iran in the last week, the National Gas Price Average average has held steady at $2.58 since the beginning of the year.

This year, two members of the theatre’s professional company and a special guest from the community will take the stage of theotherspace, the 50-seat black-box theatre located upstairs at the Roxy, in readings of these monologues based on interviews Eve Ensler conducted with 200 women about their views on sex, relationships and violence against women.

Jobs Report Shows Booming Labor Force Is Bringing Americans Off the Sidelines

 

The White HouseWashington, D.C. – The labor force remains tight, wages are rising, and people are coming off the sidelines to find work, according to new data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) monthly Employment Situation Report.

Highlights from the report include: the unemployment rate remained at 3.5 percent, matching the lowest rate since May 1969; nonfarm job gains were 145,000, bringing 2019’s total to 2.1 million; the U-4, U-5, and U-6 alternative measures of labor underutilization were all at series lows; and the employment-population ratio for prime-age women increased 0.3 percentage points to 74.4 percent, which is 3.1 percentage points above the November 2016 rate.
