Three major trends drove NASA Aeronautics’ Strategic Implementation plan. They are global demand for air travel will continue to grow and evolve, the need for aviation to be sustainable and more environmentally friendly, and technologies not traditionally associated with aviation are converging to create new possibilities in flight.
