You could be forgiven for thinking the junior from Bowling Green Kentucky was everywhere at once on Tuesday night. Public address voice Steve Williard went whole minutes without saying another name. Stats piled up next to No. 21 from Austin Peay State University (APSU) as Taylor scored 39 points in an 80-61 win against McKendree to close out the non-conference home slate.

Tennessee Vols hold on for 28-19 win over Ohio

Tennessee Vols wins their ninth straight game and moves to 3-0 with a 28-19 win over Ohio

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN –  Josh Malone caught two touchdown passes from Joshua Dobbs as No. 15/15 Tennessee outlasted Ohio, 28-19, on Saturday afternoon in Neyland Stadium.

Dobbs finished 19-of-27 for 203 yards, two touchdowns and one interception and rushed 14 times for 59 yards and a score.

Malone matched his career high with five catches for 69 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vols (3-0) racked up 201 rushing yards. Alvin Kamara had 67 yards on 11 carries and Hurd finished with 61 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 15/15 Tennessee returns to Neyland Stadium to play Ohio on Saturday at 11:00am CT. The game will feature a live television broadcast on SEC Network.

Saturday’s broadcast on SEC Network will feature Tom Hart (PxP) and Andre Ware (color analyst) calling the game from the booth and Cole Cubelic reporting from the sidelines. Fans can also listen live on their local Vol Network affiliate with Bob Kesling, Tim Priest, Brent Hubbs and Eddie Moore in the booth with John Brice on the sidelines.

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Senior outside hitter Samantha Strother, of the Austin Peay State University volleyball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.

Strother brought back all-tournament honors from the Lady Govs opening-weekend visit to Purdue for the Mortar Board Premier, posting 30 kills in three matches.

The Richmond, Texas native got off to a slow start on the attack, combining for 14 kills in matches against Ohio and Purdue, although she did record 12 digs in the season opener against the Bobcats.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUWest Lafayette, IN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team got off to a slow start, but fought throughout in a three-set season-opening loss (27-17, 25-16, 25-23) to Ohio, Friday afternoon at Holloway Gymnasium.

As far as starts go, Austin Peay (0-1) couldn’t have asked for better when senior setter Aubrey Marsellis served up an ace on the opening point.
