The storm caused over 32,000 customers to be without power, more than 61 broken poles and over 15 transformer replacements.

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – CDE Lightband continues to make progress in restoring power to Clarksville customers, reporting at 1:00pm Monday that about 5,800 homes and businesses remained without power after a severe storm Saturday afternoon knocked out service to more than 30,000 customers.

CDE Lightband, Clarksville Street Department Crews work to restore power, clear streets

 

City of ClarksvilleClarksville, TN – CDE Lightband and the Clarksville Street Department crews remained busy Sunday restoring power and clearing streets of trees and other debris strewn by a powerful storm that hit the area Saturday afternoon.

“Our departments are working around-the-clock to make repairs to the power system and get the streets back in shape,” Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts said Sunday.

Clarksville Department of Electricity - CDE - CDE LightbandClarksville, TN – CDE Lightband Executive Assistant Sally Martino was awarded with the 2019 POWER award for her outstanding involvement in The Women’s International Network of Utility Professionals (WiNUP) on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019. This award recognizes women who have been in the organization for less than five years. Martino’s extensive advocacy for the organization qualified her for the nomination.

CDE Lightband Partners with Montgomery County to bring Gig Speed to Wade Borne Nature Center

 

Montgomery County Government TennesseeMontgomery County, TN – The Wade Bourne Nature Center, a new nature center currently being constructed by Montgomery County Government in the heart of Rotary Park, will also feature Gig Speed Internet capabilities provided through CDE Lightband. Montgomery County Parks and Recreation, who currently operates the 111-acre public access park, has announced an agreement with CDE Lightband to provide high-speed internet services to the nature center facility and areas within Rotary Park.
