Clarksville, TN – Clarksville leaders broke ground Friday on a new District 3 Police Precinct to provide an expanded modern space to serve the public and improve the effectiveness of officers and detectives.
The new precinct will be built on a 1.5 acre site on International Boulevard just east of Interstate 24/Exit 8 next to Clarksville Fire Rescue Station 12.

City’s fire service grooms and develops talent from within
Clarksville, TN – Promotions of four longtime members of Clarksville Fire Rescue were celebrated Thursday with a pinning ceremony at Clarksville City Hall.
“It’s great to welcome these officers and their families, to congratulate them on their promotions and to thank them for the fine work they do to protect Clarksville residents and their property,” Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan said. “I’m so proud of this group of officers who are moving up into top leadership roles in our fire service.”
 Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and Fire Chief Mike Roberts observed the promotion of four Clarksville Fire Rescue officers on Thursday: Assistant Chief Steven Batten; District Chief Scott Owens; Capt. Jeremy Stewart; and Lt. Shawn Darnell.

Annual Speech lists Goals and Achievements
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan delivered her annual “Clarksville: State of the City” address to a group of about 200 civic leaders who gathered Tuesday morning for the Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce Power Breakfast.
Highlights included a recap of the City’s major accomplishments in 2016 and a preview of Mayor McMillan’s goals and aspirations for the City in 2017.
