Clarksville Travel Ball hosted Hilltop Super Market Moving-Up travel ball tournament

 

Clarksville Travel BallClarksville, TN – On July 30th and 31st, 2016, seventeen teams descended on RichEllen Park to compete in the Hilltop Super Market Moving-Up travel ball tournament presented by Clarksville Travel Ball and USSSA.  Players from as far away as Illinois and Mississippi participated.

Full Throttle headquartered out of Dyersburg, TN won the 14U Fast Pitch division. Paducah Storm won the baseball 10U division. Clarksville’s own Clarksville Orioles-11U team won the 12U division.

“Clarksville Travel Ball’s vision is to provide an opportunity for local players to participate in tournament atmospheres,” according to USSSA area director Brian Walker.  “The primary focus of USSSA is the development of programs that allow for teams of all skill levels to compete against one another.”

Clarksville Travel Ball hosted Cumberland Bank & Trust Memorial Tournament

 

Clarksville Travel BallClarksville, TN – Clarksville Travel Ball hosted the Cumberland Bank & Trust Memorial Tournament May 28th-29th at RichEllen Park. Approximately 1,000 people per day participated in the USSSA baseball tournament.

Twenty-one teams from Tennessee and Kentucky battled for division championships.

Clarksville High School’s Brady Cook signs with Union University to play Baseball

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Coming off a breakout junior season, Clarksville High School baseball player Brady Cook has signed with NCAA Division II Union University – out of Jackson, TN – to continue his career on the baseball diamond after his prep career is completed.

“I’m excited to know where I’m going and to have the decision out of the way,” Cook said. “It’s like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and now I can just focus on my senior year and go out and do the best that I can.”

Clarksville Orioles 11U Baseball TeamClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Orioles 11U Baseball team is holding tryouts, August 10th from 10:00am-noon, at Smith Baseball Field.

The field is located behind Norman Smith Elementary School at 740 Greenwood Avenue.

Clarksville Orioles are the 9u Gold Major 2012 BPA World Series Champions

 

Tennessee Baseball Players Association (BPA)Chattanooga, TN – On Sunday, July 22nd, the Clarksville Orioles took on the Columbia Rookies in the 9u Gold Major 2012 BPA World Series Championship game held at The Summit Complex in Chattanooga, TN. The game started at 2:15pm.

The Orioles won the game 8-5 and are the 9u Gold Major 2012 BPA World Series Champions.

The team record for the season was 46-15.
