Clarksville Montgomery County School System celebrated High School Graduation

 

Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemClarksville, TN – On Thursday, May 23rd,  Montgomery Central High School graduated 194 students in a ceremony held at Austin Peay State University’s Dunn Center. Family and friends of the students gathered to watch as they walked across the stage to pick up their diplomas.

Company contacts Clarksville media about Clarksville Montgomery County School System computer hackers

Montgomery County, TN – According to Elise Shelton, communications director for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System, the man who called 911 about the computer “hackers” is the same person who contacted Clarksville area media about his company’s “evaluation” of the breach.

Aaron Titus, who identified himself as being with Identity Finder LLC, contacted Clarksville Online by phone to offer to send his company’s “analysis” of the school system’s recent computer breach and offered to do radio interviews to explain their findings, and offer his company’s software that would help individuals protect themselves against any future cyber crimes. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Montgomery County School system “hacking” causes banking scare

Montgomery County, TN – The assault on the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System computers had citizens scrambling to find out if they had been a victim of the vicious cyber attack that occurred over the weekend.

According to Elise Shelton, communications director for the school system, they learned on Sunday that their computers had been “compromised.”  After mobilizing their technical experts, it was determined that over 100,000 names and personal information had been obtained, and posted for the entire world to see.

Former Montgomery Central High School student wins new car at Joe Heitz Pass and Go

 

On Saturday afternoon 281 hopeful students gathered at the Joe Heitz Toyota dealership to take part in the Joe Heitz Pass & Go Celebration, a unique event held by the Clarksville-Montgomery County School system and the Education Foundation in partnership with area businesses.

Students who passed their Advanced Placement exams with a score of 3, 4, or 5 received the chance to win a 2010 White Toyota Yaris Sedan from Joe Heitz Toyota; one of 12 Dell Latitude Netbooks from Premier Medical Group; and William Beach from Beach Oil Company provided 25 gas cards.

High School Student to Win a Car

 

12 others to win laptops just for trying harder in school.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemToday at 4:30pm more than 200 Clarksville-Montgomery County High School students will get some reinforcement that hard work does pay off.

These students are among the 40 percent of those who took and passed their Advanced Placement exams and earned the privilege of participating in the second annual Joe Heitz Toyota Pass and Go event. One of those students’ names will be drawn to win a 2010 Toyota Yaris.

Twelve of the students will win laptops, donated by Premier Medical Group and all of them will walk away with USB jump drives. Additionally, random drawings will take place for $25.00 gas cards donated by Beach Oil Company. «Read the rest of this article»
