Clarksville Agencies prepare for expected cold snap

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – With temperature expected to plunge into the 20s Saturday night, social service agencies are focusing on emergency shelter for people in need.

Manna Café Ministries and New Providence United Methodist Church have partnered to open an emergency warming center at 1317 Fort Campbell Boulevard. The shelter will open at 4:00pm Saturday and remain open until Tuesday morning.

Clarksville Gas and Water reports Madison Street Water Outage Due to Fire Hydrant Repair

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has turned off water service on a section of Madison Street between Pageant Lane and Golf Club Lane to repair a fire hydrant.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department - CGWClarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has planned a water outage on Sunday, November 13th, 2016, at 7:00am on Madison Street between Golf Club Lane and Crossland Avenue for water valve replacement work.

Construction crews will intermittently close eastbound lanes of traffic; however, Madison Street will remain passable during the work.

Clarksville Police Department cites Publix during March 31st Alcoholic Beverage Commission Operation

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, March 31st, 2016, Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Agents of the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operation Unit conducted operations targeting the sales of alcohol to underage persons.

Compliance checks were done on 15 businesses with 14 businesses being found in compliance and 1 business, Publix at 1771 Madison Street, cited for sales of alcohol to underage persons.

City of Clarksville prepared to provide Emergency Shelter if needed

 

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Weather predictions for the next several nights indicate that the temperature will be below freezing. In anticipation of the impending frigid temperatures, the City of Clarksville is making plans to assist the homeless in finding shelter.
