SpiritFest kicks off Christmas Season in Downtown Clarksville

 

Clarksville's SpiritfestClarksville, TN – Downtown Commons, along with First Presbyterian Church and Trinity Episcopal Church teamed up once again to bring SpiritFest to Downtown Clarksville.

2019 marked the fifth year of the event which precedes the annual Clarksville Christmas Parade. Guests were invited to come downtown early and enjoy a variety of activities.

SpiritFest offers Fun, Family-Friendly Activities before Christmas Parade

 

Clarksville's SpiritfestClarksville, TN – The Fifth Annual SpiritFest – a holiday event from 2:00pm – 5:00pm on Saturday, December 7th – will offer a bounty of free activities, including visits with Santa Claus, rides on the Express Bus, four kids’ inflatables, live music on the new Downtown Commons stage, ice skating, art and gift markets, food trucks and a live nativity with animals.

SpiritFest, a free “Pre-Parade Celebration of Christmas,” will feature kids’ inflatables, Santa Claus, complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, and more.

Austin Peay State University - APSUClarksville, TN – The leaves are changing colors (more from a lack of rain than a shift in the season), and as they quietly fall across Austin Peay State University, only a few squirrels and feral cats can be heard scampering through them. That’s because it’s Austin Peay State University’s Fall Break, October 14th-15th. Neither the Clarksville Campus nor Fort Campbell Center will have classes those two days.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation to hold Clarksville BBQ Bash at Liberty Park next Saturday

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Saturday, October 29th, 2019, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will host its 3rd barbecue contest “Clarksville BBQ Bash” at 10:00am at Liberty Park located at 1188 Cumberland Drive.

Participating teams comprised of multiple people or an individual from near and far will compete to see who has the best BBQ and for a total of $5,000 in cash prizes! Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s New Providence Pool open for indoor season

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, October 1st, 2019, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation’s New Providence Pool, the only public indoor pool in the City of Clarksville, opened for its fall and winter indoor season.

New Providence Pool is at 168 Cunningham Lane, off Fort Campbell Boulevard. The pool offers swim lessons, water fitness classes, lap swim, and open recreational swimming through May 3rd, 2020. The facility also offers a children’s pool area, a climbing wall, inflatables, diving board, and a concession stand to purchase drinks and snacks. An ADA accessible hydraulic lift chair allows those with special needs to enjoy the pool.

Immaculate Conception Catholic ChurchClarksville, TN – On Sunday, September 15th, 2019, the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church will host its 23rd annual International Festival, and everyone is invited to join the fun on from 12:00pm – 5:00pm.
