Tennessee Vols Football loses at home 34-13 to #5 Texas A&M Aggies

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee Vols Football got touchdown passes from Harrison Bailey and J.T. Shrout in the first half, but the Vols were unable to keep pace in falling 34-13 to fifth-ranked Texas A&M on Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium.
 
Bailey, a true freshman, had a 33-yard touchdown pass on the game’s opening drive and finished the day 6-of-6 for 85 yards. Redshirt sophomore J.T. Shrout added a 46-yard strike with a sensational catch by redshirt sophomore wide receiver Cedric Tillman in the second quarter and ended the game 6-of-14 for 104 yards. Tillman led all UT receivers with 61 yards on two catches.

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee Vols Football wraps up its regular-season slate with a matchup against #5 Texas A&M noon Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at Neyland Stadium.

The Vols are coming off a 42-17 victory over in-state rival Vanderbilt and will be looking to notch an upset to end the regular season with two straight wins.  

Saturday will also be Senior Day as UT will recognize its seniors prior to kickoff. Gates open to the public two hours prior to kickoff at 10 a.m.

Please note that parking passes issued for this season did not include opponents on them, therefore, those with parking passes should use the pass labeled “Game 5” for Saturday’s contest.

Tennessee Vols Football rolls over Vanderbilt 42-17

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsNashville, TN – The Tennessee Vols Football team was dominant in all phases of the game in a convincing 42-17 win over in-state rival Vanderbilt on Saturday in Nashville. 
 
UT (3-6) was led by true freshman quarterback Harrison Bailey, who completed 14-of-18 passes for 207 yards and a pair of touchdowns, all career highs. 
 
The freshman connected with redshirt senior wide receiver Velus Jones Jr. on a 74-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter to cap the scoring. Jones finished the contest as UT’s top receiver with 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns on seven receptions, all career highs.

Tennessee Vols Football heads to Nashville to take on Vanderbilt Commodores

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – With only two regular-season games remaining, Tennessee will look to finish the year strong as the Vols head west to Nashville for a Saturday, December 14th showdown with in-state rival Vanderbilt at 3:00pm CT.

The Vols are looking to make it two straight wins over the Commodores after a 28-10 victory inside Neyland Stadium last season.

Saturday’s game will be broadcast on the SEC Network with Taylor Zarzour (PxP), Matt Stinchcomb (analyst) and Dawn Davenport (sideline) calling the action.

Kentucky Wildcats roll over Tennessee Vols Football 34-7

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – Tennessee sophomore running back Eric Gray rushed for a season-high 128 yards, but four first-half turnovers by the No. 18/17 Vols were too much to overcome in a 34-7 loss to Kentucky Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium.
 
Gray posted his second 100-yard game of the season and third of his career. He ran for 105 yards vs. Missouri on October 3rd and had his best day as a Vol last season on November 30th vs. Vanderbilt with 246 yards against the Commodores. He ended up with 24 carries vs. UK on Saturday, finishing one short of the career-best 25 attempts he had vs. Vandy. Defensively, UT was led by linebacker Quavaris Crouch, who was in on a career-high 11 stops.

Tennessee Vols Football’s defense shuts down South Carolina for 41-21 win

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsKnoxville, TN – A second-half shutout, a career day from senior receiver Jauan Jennings and two special teams scores propelled Tennessee Football to a 41-21 victory over South Carolina for its second SEC victory of 2019 Saturday at Neyland Stadium.

Jennings’ seven catches moved him to sixth in program history with 129 career grabs. His 174 receiving yards set a new career-high, while placing him 10th all-time in UT history with 1,836 career receiving yards. Jennings also hauled in two touchdowns, moving him into a tie for eighth all-time with 17 receiving scores, tying Alvin Harper.

Tennessee Vols Football loses to #1 Alabama, 35-13

 

Tennessee Volunteers - UT VolsTuscaloosa, AL – Tennessee Vols Football went toe-to-toe with No. 1 Alabama on Saturday night in front of a capacity crowd at Bryant-Denny Stadium, but was plagued by penalties and missed opportunities inside the red zone in a 35-13 loss to the defending SEC champions.

The Vols held the Crimson Tide’s high-powered offense to season lows in points (35), passing yards (233) and total yards (373), but were penalized 13 times for 93 yards and had to settle for field goals twice in the red zone.
