Clarksville, TN – A different Austin Peay State University running back hit the century mark, but the Governors fell behind early and never recovered, falling 44-14 to UT Martin, Saturday.
For the Governors (0-7, 0-4 Ohio Valley Conference), a continually improving running game was overshadowed by a subpar passing day and two blocked kicks (one field goal attempt, one punt), including one returned 87 yards for a UT Martin (4-2, 3-1 OVC) touchdown.

Clarksville, TN – For the first time since 2012, Austin Peay State University football team begins a homestand of sorts, playing host to UT Martin, 4:00pm, Saturday at Governors Stadium in the first of back-to-back home contests.
Looking to snap the second-longest losing streak in FCS, the Governors (0-6, 0-3 Ohio Valley Conference) also seek to play spoiler against the Skyhawks.

Clarksville, TN – After the first quarter at Mercer, the timeline of Kirby Cannon‘s Austin Peay State University’s football rebuilding plan appeared to be pushed back. Anything and everything that could go wrong did go wrong as the Governors fell behind 28-0, that Saturday two weeks ago in Macon, GA.
Even though the Governors failed to come back and win that contest, progress was made in the last three quarters, in particular on offense. Confidence on both sides of the football grew as the game progressed, despite the final outcome.

No Homecoming magic for APSU Governors Football in 38-14 loss to UT Martin
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s football team got down 14-0 to Tennessee Martin after one quarter of play, October 26th at Governors Stadium, on their way to both a Ohio Valley Conference and a Homecoming loss, 38-14.
