Austin Peay State University has record breaking 32 Student Athletes earn OVC Academic Medal of Honor
The 32 Austin Peay student-athletes awarded the 2018-19 OVC Academic Medal of Honor each carried a perfect 4.0 grade-point average for the academic year. The award recognized those conference student-athletes who achieve the highest GPA in a conference-sponsored sport. The league recognized a record 268 recipients of the Academic Medal of Honor in 2018-19.

APSU Sports cap impressive 2018-19 campaign with best-ever finish in OVC Commissioner’s Cup
APSU delivered its second-straight 100-point tally in the OVC Commissioner’s Cup, with its 109 points this season an improvement over last season’s 101.5 points. That total pushed the Governors to fourth among the league’s 12 members. Murray State won the 2019 competition with 128 points, its first victory since the inaugural commissioner’s cup was awarded in 2008-09. APSU Governors student-athletes set department record with 3.15 GPA in Fall 2018APSU Sports Information
For the first time, Austin Peay student-athletes have posted a department-wide GPA of 3.0 or greater in three consecutive semesters. A record 209 student-athletes received academic recognition for the Fall 2018 semester, including 107 recognized on the dean’s list. It’s the third time 100 or more student athletes have been named to the dean’s list.
