Four Clarksville High Lady Wildcats reach double figures in rolling past Springfield Yellow Jackets 60-38

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls basketball team used a balanced scoring attack Tuesday, February 3rd at William Workman Gymnasium, placing four players into double figures on its way to defeating Springfield High School 60-38 in a District 10-AAA matchup.

The Lady Wildcats (17-9, 11-2 District 10-AAA) took control of the game quickly, picking up a couple early 3s from Ellie Treanton and Hannah Goins to get out to a 8-2 lead 2:08 into the game.

Goins would finish with 12 points, while Treanton chipped in with 10 points for CHS.

JK Cummings leads undermanned Clarksville High Lady Wildcats past Northwest Lady Vikings 60-36

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls basketball team had most of its inside attack either out — or playing at less than 100 percent — Wednesday, January 27th at the Willard Ross Memorial Gymnasium versus Northwest High School, but JK Cummings stepped up with five big 3s to lead the Lady Wildcats past the Lady Vikings, 60-36.

The Lady Wildcats (15-9, 9-2 District 10-AAA) were without the services of forwards Haley Bearden and Ta’Tayana Outlaw – accounting for about 25 points and 16 rebounds – while Chrislen Brown, who scored a season-high 11 points versus Kenwood High School on January 23rd had spent most of the previous night at the hospital dealing with the lingering effects of a cold she has been battling.

Haley Bearden, who finished with a game-high 20 points, would come off the bench to key the opening salvo for the Lady Wildcats (14-9, 8-2 District 10-AAA) scoring the final five points of the game-opening 10-point run.

Rossview Lady Hawks defeat Clarksville High Lady Wildcats 44-29 to take control in 10-AAA

 

Rossview High School HawksServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – Rossview High School’s girls basketball team went a long way in trying to secure their third straight District 10-AAA regular-season championship, Tuesday, January 20th at the William Workman Gymnasium, as the Lady Hawks defeated Clarksville High School 44-29, in a showdown between the top two teams in the district.

Both teams came out and struggled in the opening minutes in getting their offenses going, with Rossview (13-5, 8-1 District 10-AAA) needing almost two minutes to get on the board with baskets from Mickey Head and Cassidy Taylor putting the Lady Hawks up 4-0.

Clarksville High Lady Wildcats pull away late versus West Creek Lady Coyotes to pick up sixth straight win

The win is the sixth in a row for the Lady Wildcats (9-8, 4-1 District 10-AAA), as they also move over the .500 mark for the first time this season.

Clarksville High, who had trailed earlier in the fourth quarter, was clinging to a three-point lead, 43-30, following a bucket by West Creek’s Madison Kurtz with 1:27 left.

Clarksville High Lady Wildcats overcome foul trouble to defeat Cheatham County to open Rebel Christmas Tournament

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsDover, TN – With two of its leading scorers and rebounds in foul trouble most of the afternoon, Saturday, December 27th at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium, Clarksville High School’s girls basketball team got a lift from its perimeter players, as the Lady Wildcats defeated Cheatham County Central High School, 59-52 to open the Stewart County Rebel Christmas Tournament.

With Haley Bearden and Ta’Tayana Outlaw in foul trouble for Clarksville High (7-8) guards Ellie Treanton, JK Cummings and Hannah Goins picked up the scoring slack for the Lady Wildcats, as the trio combined for 40 of the team’s 59 points and all six of its shots from behind the three-point arc.

Clarksville High Lady Wildcats extend win streak to three with 55-12 victory over Fort Campbell

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s girls basketball team extended its season-best win streak to three games, Saturday, December 20th at William Workman Gymnasium, as they cruised to an easy 55-12 victory over Fort Campbell High School.

Literally, right from the opening jump ball the Lady Wildcats (6-8) were in control of the game, as Ellie Treanton scored four seconds into the contest on a layup after the opening tip.

It would be 4-0 Lady Wildcats when Fort Campbell (0-8) would get its first points of the game, on a jumper from the right wing by Charisse Fairley, with 5:39 left in the opening quarter, but that would be as close as the Lady Falcons would get.

Clarksville High Lady Wildcats’ offense overwhelms Northwest Lady Vikings in District 10-AAA showdown

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – A 12-2 run, starting near the end of the first quarter, began a dominating performance by the Clarksville High School girls basketball team, Friday, December 12th at the William Workman Gymnasium, as they overwhelmed the Northwest High School Lady Vikings in a 65-31 District 10-AAA victory.

The Lady Wildcats (5-8, 3-1 District 10-AAA) only held a one-point advantage, 9-8, as they neared the final minute of the opening quarter; but a bucket by Ellie Treanton – with 1:10 left in the period – started a run that pushed the Clarksville High lead out to 21-10, with 6:18 left in the first half.

Clarksville High Lady Wildcats use 3-Pointers to Derail the Kenwood Lady Knights, 60-46

 

Kenwood High SchoolServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – The Clarksville High Lady Wildcats picked up their second District 10-AAA win Tuesday night, December 9th by ravaging the Kenwood Lady Knights, 60-46. Eight made 3-pointers opened up the game for the Lady Wildcats. While rebounds and points in the paint sealed the Lady Knights fate.

JK Cummings led the Lady Wildcat’s sharp shooting from downtown with four, 3-pointers. She led all scorers with 17 points. When Cummings wasn’t making threes, Haley Bearden was crashing the boards and scoring in the paint. Bearden scored a double-double with 15 points, 16 rebounds and two blocks.

Clarksville High School WildcatsServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School girls basketball team saw a 13-point, fourth-quarter lead over Northeast High School cut to five, Tuesday, December 2nd at the William Workman Gymnasium, before staving off the Lady Eagles for a 61-51 District 10-AAA victory.

The Lady Wildcats (3-7, 1-0 District 10-AAA) had taken their largest lead of the game, 48-35, just 14 seconds into the fourth quarter on a layup by Ta’Tayana Outlaw, but Northeast scored the next four points – including a three from Jazzmyn Simpson to cut the margin back down to nine points.
