The Governors (3-4, 1-3 OVC) enter the game against the Golden Eagles (0-7, 0-4 OVC) with a four-game home winning streak, dating back to the final two contests of 2017.

It will be Family Weekend for current students and parents, and game sponsor, Tennova Healthcare, will provide free pink water bottles to the first 5,000 fans in attendance in honor of breast cancer awareness.

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – When the Austin Peay State University (APSU) football team reported for the first day of practice on Friday, an important part of the team was still making his way back to Clarksville.

Wide receivers coach Todd Pinkston had been roaming the Baltimore Ravens’ sideline the previous night during the annual NFL Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.

The Governors are coming off an 8-4 mark in 2017 — including a runner-up finish in the OVC with a 7-1 record – after being picked last in last year’s per-season poll.

We kicked off the countdown talking about the upset of nationally-ranked UT Martin. Tuesday, it was all about the Ohio Valley Conference honors bestowed upon Jeremiah Oatsvall and Will Healy, and a day later we did the deep dive into Healy’s Eddie Robinson Award-winning turn as FCS Coach of the Year.

Instant Peay Play: APSU Governors Athletic Department had great 2017-18 School Year

 

Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – With baseball and track and field putting a wrap on their respective season’s this past week, Austin Peay State University’s athletic department saw the end to a very successful 2017-18 school year.

Overall, the department posted a combined win-loss record of 200-167-3 over the school year, with 10 of the 16 teams (baseball, men’s basketball, football, men’s golf, women’s basketball, women’s golf, soccer, softball, women’s tennis and volleyball) finishing with .500-or-better records.

Austin Peay State University Football alumnus Kyran Moore signs with CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders

APSU FootballRegina, Saskatchewan – Austin Peay State University alumnus Kyran Moore has signed a free agent contract with the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders, the team announced Thursday.

Moore, an all-purpose standout while with the Governors was a first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference selection last season.
