They continued a recent trend towards signing two-way personnel with Landon Kelly, of Southaven, Mississippi, who signed a letter of intent during the early signing period.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Jartavius Dobbs, a 6-10, 205-pound forward/center from Columbus (Miss.) High School, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Austin Peay State University.

Dobbs, who transferred to Columbus after playing at Aberdeen High School his previous two seasons, opened his senior season with 25 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots, Tuesday night, against West Lowndes.

Clarksville High Wildcats Donny Everett signs with defending NCAA Baseball National Champions Vanderbilt University

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s hard-throwing, right-handed pitcher Donny Everett cast his lot with the defending NCAA Baseball National Champions Vanderbilt University, by signing a Letter of Intent on November 12th, in a ceremony held in the school’s cafeteria.

The Commodores had shown interest is Everett since he was 15-year old; something that is more prevalent in football and basketball and at the time was almost unheard of in college baseball.

“I went to a showcase the summer of my freshman year and the Vanderbilt coaches saw me and we just sort of started talking form there,” Everett said. “I just loved everything they had to offer with a great education, plus they really wanted me, so it was a great fit.

Clarksville High School All-State Pitcher Heather Norris signs with Austin Peay State University Lady Govs

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsClarksville, TN – For the past three years Clarksville High School pitcher Heather Norris has made a name for herself in the pitcher’s circle and at the plate for the Lady Wildcats, helping lead CHS to its first ever state tournament appearance last season, as well as earning multiple All-State honors.

With her senior season just a few months away, the right-hander won’t have to worry about what her future may hold at the next level, as she signed her NCAA Division I Letter of Intent, November 15th, to play her collegiate career for the Lady Govs at Austin Peay State University.
