Govs offense comes to life but settles for split with Eastern Illinois, SaturdayAPSU Men’s Baseball
Austin Peay’s (11-13, 2-2 OVC) 17 runs in the two games was its largest offensive output in back-to-back games since the first week of March. The Govs finished the day with 30 hits, posting 17 in the opener and 13 in the nightcap. Govs open OVC home slate with visit from rival PanthersAPSU Men’s Baseball
Austin Peay (10-12, 1-1 OVC) is still seeking to bounce out of its recent doldrums where it has won just three times in its last 12 games, including a 9-6 loss to Middle Tennessee, Wednesday, to open the current five-game homestand. The Govs offense has suffered during that stretch, averaging 3.3 runs per game and posting a .215 batting average.
