APSU Men's Cross CountryClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s cross country team will head to Memphis this Saturday, September 15th as the Governors are scheduled to participate in the Rhodes Invitational. The event will be held at Shelby Farms in Memphis, with the men’s race scheduled for 8:30am.

Austin Peay State University Cross Country teams compete in Rhodes College Invitational, Saturday

Austin Peay State University Sports - APSU - Governors - Lady GovsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University men’s and women’s cross country teams move forward in the 2016 season, with the Rhodes College Invitational due up Saturday in Memphis.

Needing an additional meet with a gap in the schedule, the Governors added Rhodes to the slate for the first time this decade. The event will be held at Shelby Farms.

The Govs took a big step forward last weekend at the Powerade Invite, with three men’s runners – Daniel Hamm (23rd, 16:12.42), Hezron Kiptoo (24th, 16:14.50) and Tyler Smith (30th, 16:29.96) – finishing in the top 30.

TWRA announces 2013-14 Winter Trout Stocking Schedule

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has announced its 2013-14. TWRA plans to release approximately 90,000 rainbow trout into Tennessee waters from December through March.

APSU noted in latest issue of Food Network Magazine

 

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – If you received the newest issue of Food Network Magazine, you might have noticed Austin Peay State University’s logo in the back of the magazine, asking readers to match the celebrity chef to the school he or she attended.

For APSU, the chef is Patrick Neely, one-half of Food Network’s “Down Home with the Neelys” series. Neely, who shares the show’s spotlight with his high school sweetheart and wife Gina, attended APSU in 1984 during the winter and spring terms.

For its September-October edition, the magazine plans to have a story about tailgating foods, with each chef’s school noted, according to the preview.

Winter Trout stocking set to begin in Middle and West areas of Tennessee

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The winter trout stocking program of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency continues to see growth. TWRA plans to release more than 88,000 rainbow trout into Tennessee waters from December through March.

The program provides numerous close to home trout fishing opportunities for Middle and West Tennessee anglers during the winter months.
