Clarksville Police Department held Student Traffic Awareness Training Class on Saturday, May 6th

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Saturday, May 6th, 2017, 36 young adults, between 15 and 19 years old, signed on the dotted line to attend Clarksville Police Department’s free Student Traffic Awareness Training (S.T.A.T) class.

They had an opportunity to learn about speed awareness, occupant protection, underage alcohol prevention awareness, pedestrian and bicycle safety, rules of the road, traffic signs and signals, traffic laws, driving under the influence, and distracted driving.

Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Unit Recognized by the Mothers Against Drunk Driving

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Thursday, December 8th, 2016, Clarksville Police Department Traffic Lt Phil Ashby along with some of his Traffic Unit personnel attended the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Statewide Night of Remembrance—Law Enforcement, Volunteer, and Community Awards Ceremony.

Due to their community involvement in providing our Clarksville youth (ages 15-19) with the Student Traffic Awareness Training (STAT) classes three times per year for the last several years, they were presented with the MADD Middle TN Outstanding Department Award.

Clarksville Police 2016 Student Traffic Awareness Training Classes finished in October

 

Why STAT Class is Important

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – For the past several years, Misty Mackens and the Clarksville Police Department’s Traffic Unit, with the assistance of Stephanie Rutherford and the Citizens Police Academy Alumni (CPAA), have hosted Student Traffic Awareness Training (STAT) classes for teens between the ages of 15 and 19.

There are usually three classes per year in the months of May, August, and October. The classes are held on Saturdays from 9:00am to 1:00pm and the classes are free to attend.

Clarksville Police held Student Traffic Awareness Training, May 7th

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On May 7th, 2016, Clarksville Police Department Traffic Unit Officers along with CPD’s Misty Mackens put on the Student Traffic Awareness Training (STAT) class.

This is a free four (4) hour class for high school students between the ages of 15 and 19.

30 students attended the class.

Free 4 hour class for High School Students between the ages of 15 and 19

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TNApplications are now being accepted by the Clarksville Police Department for the October 5th, 2013 Student Traffic Awareness Training (STAT) Class.

Applications are available at Clarksville Police headquarters, 135 Commerce Street or by going to www.clarksvillepd.org.

Clarksville Police Department cancels August Student Traffic Awareness Training Class

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department unfortunately has had to cancel the STAT (Student Traffic Awareness Training) Class for August 10th, 2013 due to the lack of participation. The next class is October 5th, 2013 and you can obtain an application for it at 135 Commerce Street or the Clarksville Police Department Web Page.

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Student Traffic Awareness Training Classes (S.T.A.T.) for high school students between the ages of 15 and 19 will be held May 5th, August 18th and October 20th, 2012. The classes are free.

The Classes will be held at the Grace Nazarene Church located at 3135 Trenton Road, Clarksville, Tennessee. Classes are from 9:00am until 1:00pm.

The April 30th Student Traffic Awareness Training Class

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department is continuing their efforts to raise the awareness of the traffic safety issues facing teen drivers. One of the ways is through their Student Traffic Awareness Training (S.T.A.T) classes. 

They held a S.T.A.T. class, April 30th and it could not have turned out better.
