Clarksville, TN – To say that Austin Peay State University’s football program has nowhere to go but up is easy to say from the outside looking in, but getting that to happen is a whole another thing.
But as the Governors enter their final full week of their preseason practices before their season opener on August 31st, 2017 at Cincinnati they’ve shown in their inter-squad scrimmages that they are starting to put things together with a promise of a brighter future down the road.

Fort Knox, KY – The U.S. Army Cadet Command has announced the eight winners of the MacArthur Awards for the school year 2014-2015.
The award recognizes the eight schools, selected from among the 275 senior Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) units nationwide, as the top programs in the country.
The awards, presented by Cadet Command and the Gen. Douglas MacArthur Foundation, recognize the ideals of “duty, honor and country” as advocated by MacArthur.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans open their 2015 preseason schedule this week on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. Kickoff at the Georgia Dome (capacity 71,228) is scheduled for 7:00pm EDT/6:00pm CDT on Friday, August 14th, 2015.
The game will be televised regionally on the Titans Preseason TV Network, including flagship WKRN-News 2 in Nashville. Play-by-play announcer Cory Curtis and analyst Eddie George will call the action, while Audra Martin will report from the sidelines. Additionally, NFL Network will broadcast the game live to a national audience.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans agreed to contract terms today with their first-round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft, QB Marcus Mariota.

Dr. Daniel Shea, APSU associate professor of English, will present at 3:00pm, Thursday, October 31st, in the Morgan University Center, Room 303. He will discuss his paper, “Time Travel by Bicycle: The Country, the City, and the Cyclist in Late-Victorian England,” which uses accounts of bicycling in Victorian novels to examine how people moved easily between antiquated rural communities and modern cities during that era’s agricultural depression.

Eugene, OR – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team will be competing nearly 2,000 miles away from home, but its fans can catch every game of the Eugene Regional on the internet for free, the University of Oregon athletics department announced, Wednesday.
