Instant Peay Play: APSU’s Christiana Gable aids Germany in best finish at European Softball Championships since 2009

 

Legends Bank, Clarksville TNClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University softball player Christiana Gable helped the Germany Women’s National Team to its best finish in six years, July 19th-25th, at the 19th European Softball Championship that was played at Rosmalen, Netherlands.

Germany would finish its tournament run with a 4-4 overall record, advancing to the tournament’s second-round, and a seventh-place overall finish in the 20-team field, its best finish in the tournament since a fifth-place finish back in the 2009 tournament.

Instant Peay Play: APSU’s Christiana Gable becoming steady offensive threat for Lady Govs softball

 

Legends Bank, Clarksville TNClarksville, TN – With the top three offensive leaders from last season lost to graduation, including three-time first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference performer Lauren de Castro, this year’s Austin Peay softball team was going to have to have several players step up and do their best to replace those numbers lost to graduation.

One of those that have answered the need has been sophomore first baseman Christiana Gable, who has proven through the first half of the season to be among the best in being able to drive runs in when the opportunities presents themselves.

Many are torn down to be replaced by something new, but away from the city and suburban life many are left standing to crumble and decay on their own. They become overgrown and hidden by brush and weeds, only to become forgotten and passed over.
