Nashville, TN – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Tornado Warning for Southern Montgomery County and North Central Dickson County in Middle Tennessee until 11:45pm CDT.
At 11:04pm CDT, NWS service doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado. This dangerous storm was located 11 miles southwest of Clarksville and moving Southeast at 15 mph.
Locations impacted include: Palmyra, Cunningham and Slayden. Tornadoes are difficult to see at night. Take cover now.
Wonder Kids Triathlon Registration going on Now

Clarksville, TN – On Saturday, June 7th, 2014, from 8:30am until 10:30am, the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA) and the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will be holding the annual Youth Fishing Rodeo at the Liberty Park pond.
The event coincides with Tennessee’s annual Free Fishing Day is Saturday, June 7th when anyone may fish free without a license in the state’s public waters.

Austin Peay State University Baseball has record five Govs named to Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team

Tucson, AZ – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team saw a program-record five freshmen named to the 2014 Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American Team, selected by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
First baseman Dre Gleason, shortstop Logan Gray, outfielders Cayce Bredlau and Ridge Smith as well as infielder/pitcher Alex Robles were named to the team.
Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Artist Kay Limirande will show an exhibit of landscapes and nature scenes at the Planters Bank-Hilldale Gallery on Thursday, June 5th – Wednesday, July 2nd.
Lamirande’s exhibit includes scenes from France, Japan, and Colorado, along with a variety of beach scenes in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and drawings.
Clarksville, TN – May 17th marked the 5th Annual Foster Care Awareness Family Day Celebration. Over 450 members of the Clarksville Community gathered together to learn about becoming a foster parent at the LEAP Plaza.
Of those that attended there were a total of 9 that signed up to become foster parents.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Ward 10 Councilman Bill Summers will be presenting at the Clarksville Young Professionals’ meeting today, Wednesday, June 4th.
Summers’ will speak to the group about effective leadership traits and practices. Summers believes the style, traits, and methods of leadership can determine the direction that Clarksville takes in future years and that the young professionals in our community can directly and positively influence the future of Clarksville.
