Nashville Zoo’s Sunset Safari to be held this Thursday, September 4th

Nashville ZooNashville, TN – On Thursday, September 4th, Wildlife meets nightlife at Sunset Safari, Nashville Zoo’s premier annual soiree of eats, drinks and animals. This year’s theme, Make Tracks, celebrates the arrival of Andean Bears at the Zoo in 2015.

UBS is the title sponsor for this year’s event. Explore the exotic appeal of South America, the Andean Bear’s native land. Restaurants will be stationed throughout the Zoo serving sample appetizers, entrees and sweets, and open bars will feature exotic concoctions from Nashville’s best beverage purveyors. Entertainment for the evening includes a show from Music City Burlesque, live music, and special animal hosts.

The Patron Party features food from acclaimed chef David Miller and entertainment from illusionist Kevin King.

Patron party guests will also have the chance to have their picture taken with an animal host from Jungle Jack Hanna’s collection from the Columbus Zoo.

Sunset Safari kicks off at 6:30pm. To prepare for the event, the Zoo will be closing at 2:00pm on Thursday, September 4th. Tickets are $150.00 for the main event and $250.00 at the patron level. A special junior level main event ticket is available for guests ages 21–29 for $75.00. Tickets can be purchased at www.nashville.org or by calling 615.833.1534 ext 129.

The event, chaired by Cynthia Arnholt, Kerrie Johnson and Nora Kirby, includes honorary committee members Caroline and Luke Bryan, Anne Davis and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, Tracie and Scott Hamilton, and Kimberly Williams-Paisley and Brad Paisley. Beverage chair for the event is Charles Sonnenberg of Frugal Macdoogal.

Sunset Safari is presented by Pilot Flying J. The Patron Party is sponsored by Service Systems Associates.
