Clarksville, TN – This Saturday, May 9th, Hilltop Supermarket is hosting “Karing for Kenai” Spring Festival. The Spring Festival is a fundraiser for 13-year old Kenai Payes Langley who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
There will be a yard sale from 7:00am until 3:00pm. Hilltop is still taking donations that can be dropped off at the store anytime.
All funds raised will go to help with Kenai’s medical and living expenses.
Kenai was diagnosed with with Stage 3 Clear Cell Adenocarcinoma, an extremely rare form of cancer that has been found in a small group of older women. Never in a child this young.
CCA cancer occurs in the area around a woman’s reproductive organs. Eight tumors have been discovered in that area of Kenai’s body.
So far Kenai has been turned down by St. Jude Children’s Hospital as well as other cancer treatment centers.
A GiveForward fund called “Karing for Kenai” has been started to help pay for medical and living expenses for the next year.
If you would like to give to “Karing for Kenai”, donations can be made online at www.giveforward.com/fundraiser/dch7/karing-for-kenai or at any First Advantage Bank.
