Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team will have the home court advantage Saturday morning as they face the Wright State Raiders at 10:00am, from the Governors Tennis Center.
The Raiders tied with Dayton in the singles portion of the match (3-3) but continued to finish the match with a 4-3 winning score.
The Govs also faced the Flyers earlier this season. At the beginning of the match with the Flyers, Austin Peay also held a draw in singles play, but then fell in the doubles portion of the match (1-3), dropping the match 3-4.
Despite their slow start to the regular season this year, the Govs have high hopes that their top three winning players, Claudia Yanes Garcia (4-1), Lidia Yanes Garcia (3-2), and newcomer Helena Kuppig (2-3), will lead the team in turning the corner before Ohio Valley Conference play begins.
